    Sell A House in Springfield

Wherever my home is located, whenever I decide to sell a house in Springfield I try to look at it from the buyer’s perspective, not from my own.  This is a serious suggestion that’s a real key to my success, and it’s just being able to see my home as other people see it so that I can describe it in a way that works for my buyers.

Let me explain, since you are probably wondering how this works…  Being able to see a home with the fresh eyes of a new buyer means I can remember why I bought the house in the first place. I actually buy particular houses with qualities I like and that I expect other people will like, too.  After I close on the house, and after remodeling it (if necessary) to lease or sell, I walk through the house and in order to rekindle my original enthusiasm, sometimes I walk through it while I’m talking to buyers on my cell phone and they can feel my enthusiasm, too.  I chat about the features that make the house unique and also mention the improvements I’ve made since I’ve owned the house.  All l know for sure is that enthusiasm must be contagious, because when buyers come to see the house it seems like they already think they are in charge because they feel right at home. This is a technique you can easily duplicate when you sell a house in Springfield.

I also get buyers involved by asking them for suggestions. That’s right, I actually walk through the house with them, asking how they would change the floor plan and the decor.  When I get them involved by looking at the house from the perspective of an owner (the flip-side of what I do to think like a buyer) they get drawn into the ownership perspective.

I can tell things are going well when they start talking about where to put their couch and discussing whether their piano should go in the living room or the family room.  All that is a good sign for me. Sometimes I go outside and make a cell phone call, leaving them inside to talk. When they come out I start talking about the landscaping ask them how it could be improved.

Naturally, no two people see a house the same way, and I love listening to buyers talk about all the improvements they would make because when buyers start talking that way I know there’s a good chance they will be making an offer. That is music to my ears when I sell a house in Springfield!
